Programme of digital training events launched as part of Scottish Tourism Month
The programme kicks off in Hawick on 6th March with a Digital Briefing workshop on the future of digital in tourism and online booking. Further events will take place in Musselburgh, Galashiels and Loanhead throughout the month of March.
A Cruise Business Seminar is being held on the 6th February for all interested tourism businesses. Businesses are invited to attend a seminar focussed on those businesses who may wish to develop opportunities arising from the cruise ships which visit the Forth and the Tay each year.
A new tourism strategy for the region.
Over the next six months, we will be launching a new local tourism strategy and structure: defining our approach to growing the visitor economy and identifying how the SBTP operates with member businesses and other partners.
Fiona Hyslop, Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs, today welcomed Eyemouth Harbour Trust as the 500th Member of the Scottish Borders Tourism Partnership. The Minister was in Galashiels to meet members of the Partnership to discuss the tourism industry in the Scottish Borders.
Tuesday 14th November MBTAG are holding a Tourism Showcase Event at Galashiels Interchange.
This is a ‘one stop shop’ event which gives the opportunity for everyone in the tourism industry within the Scottish Borders and Midlothian in the tourism sector to network, exchange information and share knowledge.
