Call for images for MANIFEST 2016 – A personal message from Mary Morrison

The Annual MANIFEST event is a unique opportunity to get together and celebrate everyone’s ‘creative 2016’.    One of the things that makes MANIFEST so special, is the rolling slideshow of images on screen which are testament to the quality and diversity of work that is happening in, and coming out of the Scottish Borders.     It’s not too late to submit images for this year’s slideshow so please send your images in to Kay McCluskey by Monday 12th December so that you are part of the picture!

Many thanks to those of you who have already sent your images.

Mary Morrison, Creative Leader, CABN

Studio on the Green, 19 The Green, Selkirk

The Extending Practice Group are an informal friendly gathering of professional creative practitioners from different art forms that meet once a month to share and extend their practice.

The sessions are led by choreographer, Claire Pencak, and commence from a body based, performative practice but are presented in a way that can be taken up and adapted to individual art forms.  The group includes movement practitioners, visual artists and musicians.  Writers would be most welcome to join.  The two hour sessions are an opportunity to explore improvisational and compositional structures, consider diverse approaches to space and time and to develop alternative vocabularies.

It is also an opportunity to meet and share practices and ideas with a wide range of other artists.

Whilst it is desirable that people attend regularly it is understood that this is not always possible.  Please let Claire Pencak know if you intend to come along on, please also contact Claire for any further information.

The sessions are free of charge this year thanks to funding from Live Borders.
